The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 2198-E4015-ERS Servo Drive is a Kinetix 5100 family Ethernet/IP servo drive designed for a variety of servo applications in industrial environments. This Ethernet/IP servo drive incorporates a rotary encoder to provide precise control of the connected motor. The 2198-E4015-ERS Servo Drive is designed to be mounted in NEMA/UL Type 1, 2, 3R, 4, and 12 rated enclosures. The servo drive is rated for 480 VAC input voltage from a three-phase power supply. The drive has an input frequency tolerance range of 47 to 63 Hz and a continuous output power of 1.5 kW. The 2198-E4015-ERS drive weighs approximately 2.7 kg (5.95 lbs).
The Kinetix 5100 series drives, such as the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 2198-E4015-ERS Kinetix 5100 series indexing servo drive, feature advanced designs and special features to achieve superior performance. The drive has an IP rating of IP 20 or NEMA Type 1 and a mains frequency rating of 50 Hz. The 2198-E4015-ERS drive has a pair of analog inputs and 6 digital inputs. In addition, the 2198-E4015-ERS drive has 6 digital outputs. The drive includes a dynamic brake chopper for optimal performance and is equipped with a dynamic brake resistor. The 2198-E4015-ERS drive has a variety of safety features, such as safe torque off, stall detection, and slip compensation. The drive also has an auto-tune feature for use in machines that require higher precision. The modular design of the drive provides flexibility by allowing it to be used with different types of motors, such as asynchronous servo motors and synchronous servo motors.
