The 2198-P070 drive is an Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5700 drive with 17 kW of continuous output power. The 2198-P070 drive has an input voltage of 324 to 524 VAC and is a three-phase drive. The 2198-P070 drive weighs 9.92 pounds and has an inrush current of 4 amps at 245 volts. The 2198-P070 drive has an internal capacitance of 780 microfarads and a width of 55 mm. The 2198-P070 drive is also equipped with CIP security™ networking, a standard open source communication network that provides secure data transmission for drives on supported EtherNet/IP™ networks. The device also enables secure data transmission between connected devices, helping to protect the equipment from unauthorized use or tampering.
The 2198-P070 drive features safe torque off and safe stop. These features are available through supported hardwired connections or integrated EtherNet/IP networks. The unit also features feedback connections through a 2-pin motor feedback connector. The unit is also compatible with a wide range of high resolution absolute multi-turn and single-turn encoders. It comes with shared bus accessories for typical shared bus configurations. To ensure efficient use of space when mounting 2198-P070 drives, zero stacking tabs and cutouts are inserted from one drive to another. This ensures proper drive connector spacing for compatibility with shared bus connection systems.
